Scope and Contents
The Boston Conservatory Dance Department records provide information about department operations, personnel, finances, curriculum, performances, and other activities from its establishment in the 1940s through 2018. The collection contains administrative files, course files, personnel files, financial records, performance programs and production records, newspaper clippings, posters and promotional material, audiovisual recordings, photographs, and instruments.

Conditions Governing Access
Recordings have not been transferred. Patrons may view an item’s container and/or carrier, but the original recordings are not available for playback due to preservation concerns. Patrons may request access to viewing/listening copies via onsite appointment, however recordings on obsolete formats may not be available for digitization. Contact Archives staff for further information, as advanced notice is required.
