War Prayer, for orchestra and chorus [photocopied score, annotated], 2002
Scope and Contents
The War Prayer (2002-2009, undated) series comprises scores, parts, and notes for The War Prayer, a staged work based on the short story of the same name by Mark Twain. The work was composed for the Rock County Citizens for Peace, a group in which Ross actively participated, but was ultimately never performed. The series contains a mix of handwritten manuscripts, photocopies (some of which are annotated), and notes about the work’s genesis, evolution, and production plans. Supplied folder titles or other explanatory notes by processing staff are enclosed in square brackets.
