Scope and Contents
Series 2: Professional Papers of Lee and Susan Berk (1967-2018) documents Lee and Susan Berk’s activities and accomplishments during Berklee’s second presidency, their professional pursuits beyond Berklee, and their retirement activities. Materials primarily include press clippings, correspondence, writings, circulars, artifacts, and ephemera, including numerous awards and commemorative objects. This series also contains files pertaining to Lee’s legal career—particularly the publication of his book, Legal Protection for the Creative Musician. (1970)—and Susan’s tourism business, Uncommon Boston. Scant administrative records are present in this series.
