Administrative History
The Marketing and Communications Office traditionally operated in connection with the Development Office and the Box Office. The Marketing Office is responsible for communication to the Conservatory community, prospective students, and the greater Boston community at large, and producing resources such as promotional materials, programs, and catalogs. The department also contracts professional photographers for performance events and oversees rights management of the photographs. From the 1950s to the 1980s, the Marketing Department was also responsible for compiling and building two scrapbooks, one for programs and another containing newspaper clippings largely obtained through a clipping service.
