Administrative History
The Office of the Vice-President of Academic Affairs was responsible for creating and maintaining documents related to the academic operations of the Conservatory. Previously labeled the Dean’s Office and was run by the Dean of the Conservatory, the office was renamed for the Vice-President of Academic Affairs following reorganizations in the early 2000s. Following the merger with Berklee College of Music in 2016, the office was renamed Academic Affairs Office at Boston Conservatory.

The majority of materials in this collection were held in multiple offices of the Conservatory and transferred to the Archives upon its creation in 2015.
